Student Research Project: Evolutionary Biology | Back to Index | Project Outline | Professor Chisholm uses the principles of evolutionary ecology and life history theory to generate hypotheses about the development of alternative reproductive strategies in humans. Current projects focus on the role of early stress on age at menarche, adult attachment and sexual/romantic behaviour, teen pregnancy, theory of mind, time preference, empathy, and social exchange, evolutionary perspectives in epidemiology and public health. Professor Chisholm is more than happy to discuss with potential students a range of projects tailored to individual interests

| | | | Essential Qualifications | For Honours: BSc or BA in Biological Science, Psychology or Anthropology from an approved institution with a minimum weighted average of 65% in the level 3 subjects that comprise the relevant major . Applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
For Masters or PhD: An appropriate Honours degree in Science, Anthropology, or Psychology, or equivalent research experience from an approved institution.
